MOBY

Own production

Year: 2015

Moby was born out of an affinity with plaster. Through collaborations on previous ceramic projects the duo found that the delicate plaster models often had an accuracy and reflective quality, that was not always replicated when the designs were converted into ceramic. Moby’s form is pleasingly abstract, the light source is encased within a curved block that sits above the main body. Illuminating the cavity below and drawing the eye to its organic curves.

In 2016 Moby Lamp was honoured with a silver medal of honor from the Danish Art and Crafts Movement of 1879.

Designed in collaboration with Birgitte Due Madsen.
