YPPERLIG CHAIR

Inspired by Michael Thonets classic 19th century cafe chair made of steam bent wood. Ypperlig is a stackable monobloc chair, cast in one piece. The chair is also UV-treated and approved for use in public places – both outdoors and indoors.

The first version of the chair was exhibited in 2012 at the annual Snedkernes Efterårsudstilling and the design was picked up by Rolf Hay – 5 years later it became part of the Ypperlig collaboration between Hay and Ikea. It remains in production to this day.
